How to choose the right tool for CNC lathes? If you want to improve the processing efficiency of CNC lathes during high-speed machining, then choosing the right tool is relatively important. The right tool can improve the processing efficiency of CNC lathes. When choosing tools, the processing capability, process content, and various factors of workpiece materials should be considered.
For CNC lathes, the selected tool not only requires high wear resistance, sufficient toughness and strength, but also has high hardness, high heat resistance and good process performance. It also requires stable dimensions, easy and easy to adjust and install. Therefore, new and high-quality materials should be used to make CNC machining tools, and the parameters of the tool need to be optimized, mainly to make the size of the tool with the surface size and shape of the workpiece being processed.
1. First, you need to choose a suitable and appropriate tool: In the cutting process of CNC lathes, the role of metal cutting tools is particularly important. For the materials made by tool, it must have high wear resistance, heat resistance and high hardness, and it must also have sufficient strength, toughness, good thermal conductivity and processability, and also have good economic performance. If it is too high, it is not suitable. In the process of selecting tools, we should select tools with a larger diameter as much as possible, with better strength and toughness, on the premise of meeting the requirements of parts processing. In the same process, the number of tools selected is as small as possible to reduce the number of tool changes. When choosing tools, choose common standard tools as much as possible, and do not choose or use special non-standard tools less.
2. Reasonably determine the appropriate tool alignment point: The tool alignment point is mainly used by the machine tool when processing parts. The tool relative to the starting point of movement of the workpiece is also called the program starting point or abbreviated as the tool starting point. The following points are strictly followed when choosing the tool point: it is convenient for digital processing and simplified programming; it is easy to find the right on the lathe, and it is easy to process and check; the processing errors caused need to be extremely small. The position of the tool point can be selected on the workpiece, of course, it can also be selected outside the workpiece, such as a fixture or CNC lathe, but it must have a certain dimensional relationship with the positioning reference of the part. The tool point should be selected as best as possible on the design or process reference of the parts. For example, the workpiece positioned with the hole can be selected as the tool point. The position of the tool needs to be corrected using this hole to make the position point coincide with the tool point. In this way, the efficiency of tool setting can be improved, thereby ensuring the quality of machine tool processing.
