1. First, you need to choose a suitable and appropriate tool: In the cutting process of CNC lathes, the role of metal cutting tools is particularly important. 2. Reasonably determine the appropriate tool alignment point: The tool alignment point is mainly used by the machine tool when processing parts. The tool relative to the starting point of movement of the workpiece is also called the program starting point or abbreviated as the tool starting point. The following points are strictly followed when choosing the tool point: it is convenient for digital processing and simplified programming; it is easy to find the right on the lathe, and it is easy to process and check; the processing errors caused need to be extremely small. The position of the tool point can be selected on the workpiece, of course, it can also be selected outside the workpiece, such as a fixture or CNC lathe, but it must have a certain dimensional relationship with the positioning reference of the part. The tool point should be selected as best as possible on the design or process reference of the parts. For example, the workpiece positioned with the hole can be selected as the tool point. The position of the tool needs to be corrected using this hole to make the position point coincide with the tool point. In this way, the efficiency of tool setting can be improved, thereby ensuring the quality of machine tool processing.
